ABOUT THE AUTHOR

The author of Have Blue Sky graduated from Duke University. He joined the Air Force in 1982. Over the next 25 years he flew the A-10 Warthog and F-117 Stealth Fighter, rising to the rank of colonel. He retired from the military in 2007, and then worked for eight years in the defense industry with “The Wexford Group”. Today he is the Executive Director of the White House Fellows alumni association. He splits his time between Washington D.C. and Austin, Texas. He has three grown children and two grandchildren. He is married to his White House Fellow classmate, Dr. Stefanie “Sixguns” Sanford.
